After buying the bus tickets we'd asked the driver to take us back across the river and through to the far side of the city. We were heading for the cybercafe.

We reached the city and were winding through the muddy streets when the car stalled. We all three hopped out and pushed the car backwards to jump start it. We set out again but one turn later we stalled again. We were out of gas.

No problem, our driver said. We pushed the car off to the side of the road and the driver took off on foot to get a bottle of gas.

"There are deeper reasons to travel—itches and tickles on the underbelly of the unconscious mind. We go where we need to go, and then try to figure out what we're doing there."
